Sometimes grown as a ground cover, particularly in wild spaces for wildlife benefit, this plant is very efficient at spreading with a shallow woven carpet of underground root rhizomes. It will regrow from even small sections of root cut offs making this is an extremely difficult ‘weed’ to eradicate from a garden! 😤
